Our community can best be summed up by our award winning videos made by CTA’s Film Studies classes.
CTA won first place twice and third place another time in the Avi Chai Jewish Day School Video Contest, a nationwide competition. The stated challenge for the first contest was to define how your school prepares its students to become lifelong learners.
Torah Academy’s video entries were recognized with gold honors in both Public Voting and Expert Judging categories netting us two $10,000 awards and a $2,500 award.
The Expert Judging video winner focused on three examples of how technology and learning are blended together to promote interest and skills. The creative use of a progressive continuum of learning and the messaging captured the attention of the judges’ panel.
The school credits student actors and staff for putting the project together, with special recognition going to Mr. Steve Guinan, Film Studies class instructor.
